District 2 News and Legislative Action Meeting Minutes

Our meeting was called to order at
3:08. We proudly said our pledge and prayer. Getting started, last month's minutes were approved. Christy gave the account balances, which are still looking up. Anthony and Trent gave our membership totals and report information. Dave discussed a few upcoming Abate and other affiliated activities. A few dates to mark are as follows: - District 2 Christmas Party will be at NGTC Automotive Center at 2:00 p.m. on December 6, 2009. - October 18th, will be our 3rd Sunday ride leaving Hollywood Kangaroo Service Station at 1:30 p.m. This will be a "leaf looking ride". - October 24th, Board of Director's Meeting in Macon at 10:00 a.m. - October 24th, Halloween Party and Chili Cookoff at Sugar Mill Campground. - November 1st, Abate Swap Meet and our monthly meeting will be held at the meet at 2:00 p.m. The only old business discussed was our meeting being held at NGTC's Automotive Center. This is a wonderful meeting area. Thanks Dave for suggesting and arranging everything. Considering, the Assembly is on break, Dave explained our legislation news. House Bill 317 was ignored, House Bill 617 was not approved by the Rules Committee and will be presented again in January 2010, and Senate Bill 196 passed. Dave will give us an updated summary after October 24th, when he has attended the Board of Director's Meeting. A reminder to look on our web site for links to safety information. Our Supporter of the Month is our webmaster Bill, Congratulations. Anthony awarded him with a 10% patch. Great meeting and we ended with a Motion to Close.
